Child Safety Program

Safety First: SEPTA@WORK

Children are fascinated by the roar of big, powerful trucks, the rat-a-tat-tat of hammers and the high-pitched screech of drills crying out, "Come closer, watch me work." But children often ignore the dangers. That's Child Safety Program why SEPTA is serious about keeping young people safe as it rebuilds the western portion of the El. We want to partner with schools, community organizations, houses of worship, businesses and individuals to send a clear message that construction sites are not playgrounds.

We are educating children to:

  • Think safety
  • Be aware of their surroundings
  • Be careful around construction areas
Safety First: SEPTA@WORK, is available FREE to schools, organizations, and churches in DVD or VHS format.  In addition to the video , our Safety Program includes:
  • Safety reminders
  • Coloring sheets
  • Puzzles
  • Essay contests
